until i can go out and buy a proper wall tile cutter
is there anything else i can use to score through
the wall tiles glaze in the meantime ,i used a 6inch nail
with a sharpened point, but the glaze isnt giving in
There isnt many places anywhere near me That are open
and it means getting changed washed and rushing about ,i only have a dozen or tiles to go ,the old tile tool has had it and i was wondering if theres any alternative so i can finish up now.

Theres nothing really anything as good as a tile cutter i’m affraid its in the name you see, why not just get a cutter there dirt cheap and they make the best job if you cock them up and stick them to the wall your gonna have to live with them for a long time just do it proper now

Maybe if you had a Dremel tool or a small grinder with a cutting disc?

I’m a bit confused by your question……
When you say….
"Until I can go out and buy a proper wall tile cutter"
The answer would be a simple Hand Tool. This can be brought for as little as £1, maybe less.
But you’ve said that you want to use something in place of a hand tool……..
The simple hand tool that I refer to is about the size and shape of a pencil. The metal/steel that this is made from is much harder than a nail.
Do the job properly, with the correct tools. And it will be something to be proud of…
Personally, I use a 4in grinder for most wall tiles. And have done for 30 odd years.

Tile nippers, glass cutter, tile scratch cutter, wet saw….
Nothing better than a good wet saw…..

Well I’m in engineering trade, and the perfect thing I used was a small carbide-tipped lathe tool, got loads in my garage.
Really does the job first class.
